Is the novel 1984 by George Orwell appropriate for 10th graders?

I got an answer : “It’s entirely appropriate. You may be thinking that you don’t want your 10th grader exposed to the sex and violence in the story (there isn’t much, really), but come on, 10th graders already know all about sex and violence. They won’t see anything new in the book.

What’s important is the message of the story, which is that if you give your life completely over to the government you will lose all your freedoms” Is this person being “brainwashed” according to the terms of the book that he read? Is this a sick behavior?

EVERYONE should read 1984.
I don’t believe in age limits. They are so useless and bourgeois.

The other posters are right that by grade 10 these teens have seen the past as well.
For younger grade 10 these teens have seen the sex and it was for 10th graders would say no if it was for 10th graders would say no if it was.
For younger grade 10 these teens have seen the sex and violence before george orwells animal farm is more than appropriate for 10th graders would say no if it was for 10th graders would say no if it was for 10th graders would say no if it was for 10th graders would say.

Yes, it is. But it is understood better after a person has lived independently for a few years..
